Shop and save with duty free

LeShuttle travellers can now take advantage of duty-free products in our Folkestone and Calais terminals and save money on everything from scents to spirits. 


To access duty-free savings, you'll need to present the QR code on your confirmation or pre-travel emails, or register for a QR code. You can also shop online ahead of your trip, reserve your cart and collect your goodies when you arrive.


For UK residents, you can also benefit from tax-free shopping in France and the rest of the EU. Find out more below. 

How to shop

Step 1

Make sure each passenger has an individual QR code. You can register for one here, or use the code on your booking confirmation. 


Step 2

At our terminal buildings, head to the World Duty Free shop. Or you can shop online ahead of your trip and collect in store.


Step 3

Show us your QR code at the till or pick up area and enjoy your purchases!    

Reserve and collect

From your favourite tipples and sweet treats to your most-loved beauty products, you'll find a huge range of premium brands at World Duty Free in our terminals. 


If you're in a rush, you can browse the World Duty Free shop online before you travel. Then simply pay and collect your items on your way through the LeShuttle terminal.

HOW TO RESERVE AND COLLECT
  • Fill up your basket
    Go to the Reserve & Collect website and start shopping.
  • Tell us when you're travelling
    Add items to your basket, and at checkout tell us when you're travelling. You can reserve your items between one month and 24 hours before departure.
  • Pick up and pay
    Visit the collection point in the World Duty Free store. Your shopping will be ready and waiting for you, and you can swap, remove or add additional items before paying.
  • Load up your car
    Just load up your car before you head on to catch your shuttle.

Calais Duty Free FAQs

What is the duty free allowance in Calais?
If you are entering the UK, the basic rules are that you are allowed to bring in 42 litres of beer, 18 litres of still wine, 4 litres of spirits OR 9 litres of sparkling wine. In addition to alcohol, you are allowed 200 cigarettes OR 100 cigarillos OR 50 cigars OR 250g of tobacco (or a combination of these quantities). In terms of other goods, your Duty Free Calais allowance is £390 of fragrances, cosmetics, souvenirs, gifts and electrical products.
What are the rules for duty free shopping?
There are different rules depending on whether you are buying your duty free before entering France or the UK. The goods must be for your own use, and not for commercial purposes. Sharing of duty free allowances is not permitted. People under the age of 17 are not permitted alcohol or tobacco duty free allowances. 
How to get duty free in France
To buy at LeShuttle’s duty free shop in our Calais terminal, you need an individual QR code. This is included in your booking confirmation, but other members of your party can register before they travel to receive their QR code.  You just need to show your QR code at the till at our duty free Calais shop. 
Can I buy duty free on the way out and bring it back?
Yes, but it will count as your total duty free allowance. So if you bought 200 cigarettes at our Folkestone terminal on the way over to France, if you have 100 left on your return trip, you can only buy another 100 at our Calais duty free shop.
